This is What I Come Home to After Work…

What I see when I come home

It’s enough to melt my heart…at the very least, it melts away all my work frustrations (of which there are many, now-a-days).  And it makes me glad to be a mom.  Of course, that is until this happens:

Josh & Brody Fall 09 012

Or this…

Lampshade Hat

I swear, Brody is not my only Devil-Child, but for some reason, I always seem to capture him misbehaving!!

Things are well in the Gillis house, if not crazy hectic.  Daycare is for the birds…well, I should say, getting two boys and myself ready in the morning is for the birds.  I have never been a morning person to begin with, but now that mornings are the most stressful part of my day, I’m REALLY NOT a morning person.  I find myself dreading daycare days (Monday, Wednesday, and Thursdays) because it NEVER goes smoothly, or slightly bumpy for that matter.

We’re enjoying fall (well the weather appropriate parts, not the record-breaking early snowfall) and trying to get our fill of anything made with pumpkin and apples.  We were able to combine both of those fall time treats on our recent visit to the farm.  Or the “Gillis’ annual search for the perfect pumpkins in which we never actually carve”.  It was a much different trip than last year, when were able to confine safely strap them into their carseat stroller and do the pumpkin picking ourselves.  This year the boys had other plans:

Strongman Josh

Playing Leapfrog with Pumpkins

Josh's remake of E.T.

What the heck is that thing?!?

Hope everyone is enjoying the last gasp of warm weather…if last weekend’s freak event snowfall is any indication, we’re I.N - F.O.R - I.T

  1. The boys look great…I love Brody’s brushed back hair in the first pic…next step is a spikey ‘do with lots of gel. That may keep food out…too sharp to touch with bare hands. :-)
